Kim HAMMOND (Martin)

Geelong Myotherapist (B.H.Sci - Clinical Myotherapy)

Kim Hammond holds the highest level of qualification in Myotherapy (Clinical Myotherapy), which is the result of a four year university course at the Southern School of Natural Therapies.

While studying, Kim was also awarded the 'Outstanding Achiever in Dry Needling Award' – an honour only presented once a year.  Needless to say, Kim has very good dry needling skills.

As a Myotherapist, Kim is able to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent musculoskeletal pain.  Her Myotherapy treatment techniques include remedial massage, dry needling, myofascial release, stretching, cupping and prescription of corrective exercises.

Kim also has a sporting background as a netballer and basketball and has previously represented Victoria and Australia in junior netball. With her experience as a sportswomen Kim has developed a special interest in assisting sports people with injury prevention and recovery. She also enjoys treating patients with postural issues and chronic pain because of the positive results Myotherapy can have on long term pain.

Kim is available on Tuesdays at our Lara clinic, and Thursdays at South Geelong.
